Which file do I need?

Busy Bodies goes on the server and on every player who wants to see it. There are three files, and you only ever need one of them.

Players#

The Fabric or NeoForge file, in your mods folder.

Fabric also needs Fabric API.

Modded server#

The very same file, in the server's mods folder.

One file does both jobs.

Paper server#

The plugin, Busy Bodies for Paper, in the plugins folder.

No mods needed on the server.

What each file needs#

FileForNeeds
FabricPlayers and Fabric serversMinecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, Fabric API. Mod Menu is optional.
NeoForgePlayers and NeoForge serversMinecraft 26.3, NeoForge 26.3.0.36 or newer. Nothing else.
Paper pluginPaper servers and forks such as PurpurPaper 26.3. Nothing else.

Does everyone need it?#

No. Players without the mod can join a server that has it and see the game as usual. Nothing is ever sent to them.

The other way round, a player with the mod can join any server. If that server does not have Busy Bodies, the mod still guesses who has dozed off from who is standing still, and stays quiet otherwise.

Mixing loaders#

Fabric players and NeoForge players see each other on a Fabric server, on a NeoForge server and on a Paper server with the plugin. The full table is here.
